On January 8, 2018, the 2017 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. National science and technology awards are reviewed once a year, including the National Natural Science Award, the National Technology Invention Award, and the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

The "Design, Preparation and Application of High-efficiency Cutting Tools" project jointly developed by our EST Tools Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jiaotong University and many other institutions won the second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress in 2017.

The high-efficiency cutting tool design, preparation and application projects that our company participated in took more than ten years to complete, filling a number of domestic gaps in this field.With many years of tool research and development and manufacturing technology reserves and advanced production technology, our company mainly undertakes the task of preparing tools in this project, and cooperates tacitly with Shanghai Jiaotong University, Chengdu Research Institute Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and other “production, learning and research” institutions.

At present, the project has been industrialized.“Our tools are already commercially used in high-end manufacturing industries such as aircraft parts, engines, complete machines, and gas turbines. Our high-efficiency tools are used in the manufacture of C919 large aircraft in our country."General manager Chen Ziyan said, "The main indicators of the cutting tools of this project are ‘high efficiency’ and ‘precision’, which provide'sharp‘ teeth for high-end manufacturing and precision manufacturing."”
